39th Annual Great Reno Balloon Race

Where: Rancho San Rafael Park, Reno, NV

The Great Reno Balloon Race features more than 100 hot air balloons flying day and night. In recent years the attendance has topped 120,000 people from across the USA. This world-renowned festival is a much beloved local community tradition and a fixture in Reno’s September skyline. The Great Reno Balloon Race has won many awards over the years, including ‘Best Special Event in Reno’ and ‘Best Special Event in Northern Nevada.’

Festival Highlights

• Glow Shows beginning at 5:00pm on Saturday and Sunday
• Dawn Patrol features balloons in flight after dark
• Mass Ascension Launch of over 100 balloons starting at 7:00am
• Balloon Boulevard full of craft, souvenir and food / drink vendors
• Tethered Rides for the general public ($5.00 suggested donation)
• GRBR Tissue Paper Balloon Launch by over 2,000 local students
