Jul 18, 2019 | Blog, Midwest, Museums & Attractions

Take a trip to outer space! The Cosmosphere is a Smithsonian-affiliated space museum in Hutchinson, Kansas that opened in 1962. Educating visitors from around the globe, the Cosmosphere boasts the Hall of Space museum, one of only 14 IMAXR dome theaters in the world, and a planetarium. Today, the Cosmosphere’s space artifact collection is second only to that of the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, D.C.
