The By the People Festival is a celebration with the sole purpose of making art accessible to everyone. The festival stretches across the entire city, with satellite installations in Reston, VA and Prince George’s County, Maryland. Experience modern artwork across all mediums, large scale visual art installations, and talented artistic performances. The Smithsonian Art and Industries Building is open to the public during the festival, and on June 22nd, the Smithsonian Museums will stay open late.
