The Alabama beaches are likely what will bring you to Gulf Shores, with its 32 miles of pristine white sand. Beyond just taking in the awesome views, there are a variety of active ways to spend your time there, both on and off the beach.

Gulf State Park boasts 6,500 acres of protected lands, 2.5 miles of beach, three freshwater lakes, a scenic nature trail, beach pavilion, Gulf fishing pier, picnic area, and campground. The onsite nature center has permanent exhibits and seasonal programming. Twenty-seven miles of trails wind through the park and the 496-site campground offers improved and primitive sites.
