Happy 150th Yellowstone National Park

Mar 16, 2022 | West, General Travel

Yellowstone, the first national park in the world, was designated on March 1, 1872, to protect over 2.2 million acres of spectacular landscapes, a large portion of which showcases the area’s geothermic activity. Stretching across portions of Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho, the park was developed to accommodate guests keen to tour the national park in a horse-drawn carriage, stopping by day to view natural landmarks and diverse wildlife, and by night in villages with grand hotels, impressive restaurants, and nightly entertainment.

If you have yet to make plans for the summer, there are still plenty of hotel rooms and some cabins available in the park during the months of June, July, and August. Why not take the family on an unforgettable trip on the 150th anniversary of America’s first iconic national park? It’s the perfect time to plan your own Yellowstone road trip to experience each of the park’s areas and major points of interest during the day before checking into a different historic lodge or cozy cabin every night.
