The Philbrook Museum of Art & Gardens in Tulsa, Oklahoma is one of the most beautiful museums in the country. The museum building is a 1927 Italian Renaissance home built by oilman Waite Phillips. Enjoy the artwork, then wander through the surrounding manicured gardens. In 2012, the Philbrook opened a second space in the former Tulsa Paper Company to house its modern and contemporary art. Docent-guided tours are available for both locations with advance notice.
