Small Town Spotlight: Bayfield, Wisconsin

Aug 20, 2020 | Midwest, Small Town Spotlight

Bayfield, Wisconsin, is the gateway to the Apostle Islands, providing visitors with opportunities to explore and experience the natural beauty of Lake Superior. We recommend the Grand Tour interpretive lake cruise with Apostle Island Cruises that takes guests through the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore and past Raspberry and Devils Island Lighthouses. Stay at The Bayfield Inn downtown and visit the charming boutiques and restaurants on the main street that gently slopes down to the lake with amazing harbor views. Plan to spend a few days in the area and take a ferry to Madeline Island to explore the charming town and beaches. To see the entire island, bring your car. Otherwise, just spend a few hours downtown visiting the unique shops, restaurants, and the Madeline Island Museum.
