Small Town Spotlight: Glacier, Washington

Glacier, Washington, is a remote town popular with outdoor enthusiasts, located near Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest and Mt. Baker National Recreation Area. The small town is popular with summer hikers and rafters and winter skiers and boarders. While Glacier offers food and lodging, there is no gas available, so you will need to go to nearby Maple Falls to fill up the tank. The area has some of the best scenic drives in the United States, including the 440-mile Cascade Loop Scenic Highway that starts in Puget Sound and winds through the Cascade Mountains to the Columbia River Valley. Find the perfect cabin, cottage, or condo through Mt. Baker Lodging while visiting the Northern Cascades.
