Montauk, New York, situated on the very tip of the South Fork of Long Island, is a popular summer destination with gorgeous white sand and excellent saltwater fishing. The peninsula is surrounded by beaches, with a few located in the six nearby state parks. Visitors flock to Amsterdam Beach for natural shorelines and great views, Ditch Plains Beach for surfing, and Edison Beach for its proximity to the downtown village. Enjoy some fresh seafood during your trip— we recommend both Hooked and Tauk at Trail’s End for a combination of casual and delicious. Stay at The Montauk Beach House, located downtown with easy access to shops, restaurants and, of course, the beach!!
