The Red Bull Arena is home to the New York Red Bulls, one of the 24 Major League Soccer teams. The state-of-the-art Arena has been in use since completion for the 2010 season. Located in Harrison, New Jersey, the arena is the third largest in the league and built specifically for soccer matches. Watching a match at Red Bull Arena is a different experience than other American sports venues— you are close to the action (the first row is just 21 feet from the touchlines) and the curved roof is partially transparent, allowing natural light into the Arena.
Take our advice, grab a few tickets, splurge for premium seats and enjoy. Every seat is covered, so inclement weather will not affect your experience. You may even have to remind yourself that you are not watching a soccer match in an international city.
New York Soccer Rivalry: The Hudson River Derby is played annually between the New York Red Bulls and New York City FC. The match takes place at either Red Bull Arena or Yankees Stadium.
Red Bull Arena is also home to the New York Red Bulls ll, the reserve team that plays in the USL Championship, the second tier in American soccer. The arena has hosted rugby and lacrosse matches and music concerts as well.
Tickets & Seating
The 2019 Major League Soccer regular season matches began in March and run through October. The playoffs begin in October, wrapping up in mid-November with the championship match (MLS Cup).
Red Bull Arena has a seating capacity of 25,000 plus 1,000 club seats and 30 luxury skyboxes for soccer matches. Ticket prices range from $20 to $100 throughout the arena— single match tickets are available through Ticketmaster. Premium seats, club seats, field level seats, managers box and skybox tickets will cost more. Keep in mind, a premium seat at Red Bull Arena is about the same price as a slightly above average seat at most other New York sporting events. This is a great opportunity to bring the entire family to the arena. We suggest picking a summer night with fireworks after the game. Seating Map
Food & Beverage
Food and beverage concessions are located on both the 100 and 200 levels of the arena. There is a wide variety of food available from tacos and barbecue to hamburgers, hotdogs, and sausages. Drinks of all types are easy to find, so are Red Bull energy drinks.
Popular options include:
– The Original Craft Burger Bar
– Horizon Healthy Goal
– Harrison Hotdog Company
– Red Bowl Noodles & Dumplings
– Tacos Roqueros
Head over to the Craft Haus, Craft Zone, or the Heineken & Biergarten Cabana at halftime and grab a premium or craft brew. Distilled spirits and cocktails are sold around the arena— the Tito’s on Tap concession stand has two locations.
Getting There
The arena is in the Riverbend District of Harrison and is easily accessible via mass transit. The Harrison PATH Station is just three short blocks from the Arena. If you are taking NJ Transit to Newark, complimentary shuttle buses run from Newark Broad Street and Newark Penn Stations to Red Bull Arena.
If you decide to drive, parking within the Harrison Public Parking areas costs between $10 and $20. Another option is to use the parking lots in Newark, expect parking to be slightly more expensive.
Bonus: Newark’s famous Ironbound District is only about a mile from the Arena. The Portuguese neighborhood has over 100 restaurants and is famed for its Portuguese, Spanish, and Brazilian cuisine. A few of our favorites are Fornos of Spain (Paella), Iberia Peninsula (Signature Clams & Grilled Seafood), and Brasilia Grill (Rodizio).
