The International Wolf Center in Ely, Minnesota

Winter hours for the Center are Friday and Saturday, 10-5, and Sunday 10-2. In the Summer, the Center is open daily from 9-5.
Admission to the International Wolf Center is $14 / adults and $8 / children. This includes daily presentations like:
- Wolf Enrichment
- Wolves of the Northwoods
- The Wolves and Moose of Isle Royale
- Ambassadors to the Wild
Specialty Programs
What’s for Dinner? – Learn about the fascinating feeding behavior of wolves as you watch the Exhibit Pack dine, cache, hide or lay on a variety of prey.
Howling Safari – This program teaches about wolf vocalization and takes you into the forest to try out your howl for the local wolf pack.
Wolf Explorers – Learn about wolves through interactive games and fun activities. This hands-on program is designed for kids 4-12 years old.
Note: These programs usually incur a small fee in addition to admission. Check their programs page to confirm the schedule before your trip.
New Exhibit
In 2019, the International Wolf Center unveiled a new exhibit titled Discover Wolves! This indoor exhibit creates “an educational adventure in the world of the wolf.” There is a replica of a wolf den to explore, a simulated airplane ride to see how researchers track wolves, and historic artifacts that show the importance of wolves to various cultures over time.
You will come away with a greater appreciation for these magnificent animals!
