Heavy Seas Beer started as the first brewpub in Maryland. Today, they brew over 20 different beers annually in their brewery just outside Baltimore city in Halethorpe. They are known for their award-winning beers, as well as cask-conditioned ales and barrel-aged rarities.
Tasting Room
Visit the Tasting Room to try the freshest Heavy Seas brew available. The Pieces of Eight Pizza Bus is onsite during regular tasting room hours. Coming soon, the brewery will unveil an expanded taproom and a new small-batch brewery.
Some of our favorite beers include:
Loose Cannon IPA– This fragrant IPA is the heavy Seas flagship beer.
Siren Noire– A chocolate stout, aged in bourbon barrels with vanilla beans.
Night Swell– A unique IPA with a dark roast and rich malt.
Tours
There are a few different tour options at Heavy Seas Brewery. All last about 45 minutes and include a souvenir pint glass and beer sampling.
Public Tours- Tour the Heavy Seas brewery and learn how your favorite beer is made. Offered on Saturdays and Sundays.
Extraordinary History of Beer Tour– Learn the history of Heavy Seas and the history of beer itself as you tour the facilities with local historian and entertainer Cliff Long. Offered on select Sundays.
Take the Tour with the Founder– Hugh Sisson gives you the opportunity to hear about the beer from the founder himself! Only offered on November 23!
Note: All tours require closed to shoes for safety reasons.
