Visiting The Newport Flower Show

Jun 19, 2019 | Blog, Northeast, Nature & Wildlife

Newport, Rhode Island is a seaside town famous for its historic mansions of the Gilded Age. To kick off its summer season every year, they hold the Newport Flower Show on the stunning grounds of the opulent mansion, Rosecliff. This amazing flower show is unlike any other flower and garden show around. Between the fabulous setting of Rosecliff, the excellent vendors, live music, and sweeping ocean views, every part of this event is impressive!

The 2019 Newport Flower Show will be held June 21-23 and is themed Audubon: Artistic Adventures. The show will celebrate bird expert and painter, John James Audubon, so expect the garden displays to incorporate lots of birds and feathers.

There are more than 80 pieces of topiary throughout the gardens, including animals and birds, geometric figures and ornamental designs.
