43rd Annual Prince Lot Hula Festival

Where: Iolani Palace, Honolulu, Hawai’i (Island of Oahu)
Cost: Free ($5 Purchase of a kōkua button is requested)
The festival honors Prince Lot Kapuāiwa, who helped reprise hula in Moanalua and reigned as Kamehameha V. Presented by the Moanalua Gardens Foundation, the 2020 festival theme focuses on the youth who will carry on the hula traditions. Spend the weekend on the Iolani Palace grounds and watch an impressive line-up of premier hālau hula (hula groups) that will perform both kāhiko (ancient) and ‘auana (contemporary) hula on a stage fronting the Palace. Support the winners of the Royal Order of Kamehameha, MGF’s Malia Kau Award, and the Namakahelu Oli Award.
