Fall Family Fun: Carter Mountain Orchard
A Virginia Fall Tradition!!
Carter Mountain Orchard is a family tradition for many who live in the Charlottesville, Virginia, area. The orchard will be operating on a reservation system this year, providing guests with timed options for their visit. As is the case every year, the country store is stocked with ready-picked seasonal produce, specialty foods, and fresh baked goods, as well as home décor and gift items. In a few weeks, pumpkins and gourds will also be available for sale.
To manage crowd sizes, the new reservation system begins on September 11th with three time slots available for access:
– Morning: In any time after 9am and out by 12 (noon)
– Mid-day: In any time after 12 (noon) and out by 3pm
– Afternoon: In any time after 3pm and out by 6pm (closing time)
Your reservation allows access to Pick Your Own Apples, Country Store & Bakery, Mountain Grill, and Bold Rock Tap Room. Tickets are required for everyone in your party, and fees are waived Monday through Thursday.
New this year is a Scenic Drive-Thru tour of the orchards to enjoy the beautiful landscape as well as stock up on ready-picked apples and other fall favorites without ever having to leave your car!
The Thursday Evening Sunset Series will take place from September 11 to September 24. Purchase a ticket for a delicious dinner, live music, and the best sunset view in Charlottesville!
