What’s New at the Zoo: The Roger Williams Park Zoo is Open!

The Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence, Rhode Island, is the third oldest zoo in the United States and one of the best family attractions in New England. The zoological park is operated by the Rhode Island Zoological Society with a mission to engage and inspire visitors and support global wildlife conservation. The zoo staff has developed award-winning programs for guests and enrichment activities for many of the more than 150 animals housed in naturalistic habitats across the 40-acre park.
The zoo offers a chance to see animals from across the globe, and every visit brings new experiences for the entire family. The Faces of the Rainforest exhibit is home to Fiona, the new mom two-toed sloth, and baby Beany. The Fabric of Africa area immerses visitors in the animals seen throughout the African savanna, including zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, and elephants. Explore Marco Polo’s Adventure Trek and see moon bears, red pandas, takins, and snow leopards. Little ones also love the Alex and Ani Farmyard.
